System health and quality monitoring services
Resilio collects performance and metrics data from Management Console installations to monitor performance issues and overall product health.
Warning
No private data is collected without the knowledge of the Resilio administrator.
General Management Console health status
The Resilio team periodically monitors customers' deployments to confirm whether a Management Console with a subscription license is up and running, licensed Agents are connected, and Jobs are configured. Resilio is unable to see names or configuration details of the setup, only the number of Agents to verify it matches the number of licensed Agents.
Resilio monitors health status changes in usage to ensure customers are obtaining value from the product and to assist customers whose usage decreases or stops.
Disable health status tracking
Note
The option to disable health status tracking is available in Resilio 2.12.6 and newer.
To disable health status tracking:
- Locate and open the Management Console's configuration file.
-
Add
"extStats": falseto the configuration at the top level, make sure to preserve JSON formatting. -
Restart the Management Console.
Debug logs and crash dumps
When an administrator contacts Resilio's Customer Support and submits debug logs, audit.log, and crash dumps from the Agents and/or the Management Console, these logs are uploaded to Resilio's servers for the Customer Support team to analyze. The files are stored for 30 days after the submitted ticket is closed and then permanently deleted.
The shared log files can contain IP addresses of the Management Console, Agents, Tracker, and Proxy Servers, as well as job paths and filenames. The audit.log file also contains usernames of users who make changes in the Management Console. Crash dumps contain system information.
These files are never sent to the Resilio team without an explicit action by the Resilio administrator.
License updates and usage statistics
The Management Console periodically communicates with Resilio's license server: https://connect-license.resilio.com/check_connect.php. It does so upon startup, every 24 hours, or when an administrator initiates a license update check. If a new license is discovered, it is automatically downloaded and applied.
The following statistics are collected:
- Management Console version and whether options to collect statistics are enabled.
- Number of successful logins to the Management Console since the previous license ping.
- Whether there is at least one API token configured on the Management Console (without counting the number of tokens), and the number of API calls in the last 24 hours.
- Number of proxy servers configured on the Management Console.
- License packages and the number of Agents using each package.
- Total number of Agents connected to the Management Console, number of licensed Agents.
- Total number of currently configured jobs, and number of launched job runs in the last 24 hours.
- Number of Agent-Cloud storage path configurations.
- Total number of bytes and files transferred since the deployment.
- Maximum transfer speed in the last 24 hours.
