About Resilio

Resilio is a file synchronization and access platform based on peer-to-peer architecture that ensures speed, resilience, and scalability. Deploy Resilio to enable VPN-less access to your Nasuni Edge Appliances or SMB shares, set up a synchronization workflow to facilitate collaboration between a handful of users, or implement a file caching solution to ensure high-speed, low latency access for hundreds of users in different locations.

Benefits of using Resilio include:

  • High performance and reliability - Resilio's ZGT protocol leverages peer-to-peer technology ensuring high speed data transfers and reliability.
  • Ability to access volumes with billions of files - On-demand scanning fetches meta data of top-level file system items while the end user browses the Job folder. This reduces the volume of data required to serve files to all participating Agents.
  • File locking - File locking helps prevent data corruption when multiple end users access the same files either remotely or from the local network.
  • Seamless user experience - End user Agents can be authenticated via Microsoft Entra ID or Okta, leveraging existing user accounts and groups in Active Directory.

Resilio deployment is centrally managed through the Management Console, which facilitates and oversees data transfers between Agents. It dispatches job assignments to connected Agents, then gathers and compiles reports on file operations, job progress, and status.

Data transfers are performed by Resilio Agents, lightweight services running on endpoints which participate in transfer jobs according to instructions they receive from the Management Console. Installed on storage servers, Caching Gateways and end users workstations, these Agents form a multipoint-to-multipoint network, enabling fast and efficient transfers of large data sets.

Data workflows are specified in Resilio Jobs. These can be one-time data distribution or consolidation assignments, or ongoing synchronization of the contents of a specified folder between multiple Agents.
