About Resilio Active Everywhere

Resilio Active Everywhere is a file synchronization and access platform based on a peer-to-peer architecture that ensures speed, resilience and scalability.

Data transmission is facilitated by Resilio Agents - lightweight services running on endpoints which participate in transfer jobs according to instructions they receive from the Management Console.

Management Console
The Resilio Active Everywhere deployment is centrally managed through the Management Console, which facilitates and oversees data transfers between Agents. It dispatches job assignments to connected Agents, then gathers and compiles reports on file operations, job progress, and status.

Resilio Job
A Resilio Job is a precise data workflow specification. This can be a one-time data distribution or consolidation assignment, or an ongoing synchronization of the contents of a specified folder between multiple Agents. Resilio defines a number of job types that align to specific use cases. For details, see Job types overview.

Resilio Agent
Resilio Agent is a lightweight background service running wherever your files are: storage servers, Caching Gateways and end users workstations. These Agents form a multipoint-to-multipoint network, enabling fast and efficient transfers of large data sets.

Files in Resilio Jobs are divided and transferred in chunks. When a participating Agent downloads a data chunk, it immediately starts seeding it, making it available for download by other peers.
