Data compression

Data compression enables lowering network traffic at the cost of higher CPU utilization on all endpoints participating in the Job.

Consult Resilio Support team before enabling

Enabling data compression can cause some side effects like increased CPU usage or reduced transfer speed. It is strongly recommended to consult Resilio Support before enabling the option.

To enable data compression:

  1. In the Job Profile, enable the , set the tunnel_compress_stream parameter in the . Ensure all Agents in the Job have this parameter set, otherwise the Job will fail.

  2. Make sure all participating Agents have the tunnel_compress_stream custom parameter added and set to true in their Agent profiles.
