Restart Agents from Management Console
The Management Console allows you to remotely reset the Agent service.
Info
- This only restarts the Agent service, not the host machine.
- Supported operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux (including NAS devices).
- Windows Agent service must run as Local System or Admin. The Local Service account cannot initiate a service restart.
To restart the Agent service:
- Select Agents, then locate and click the Agent you want to restart.

In the CONFIGURATION tab, click Restart.
Note
- The option isn't available for Agents running version older than 2.7.
- Restart option is disabled for offline Agents.

Click Continue to proceed.
Note
- If the Agent service cannot shut down within 90 seconds, the Managemnet Console will report a timeout error. You can try restarting the Agent later or initialize the restart directly on the host system.
- The Management Console is not in control of the Agent's start up and it cannot launch the Agent remotely.
